This is the second location of Wheat (first location on Dagu Lu) and features a much bigger space with outdoor seating and some fresh additions to the menu. The interiors are as bright and airy as you would expect from a venue that is cultishly dedicated to clean-eating and healthy lifestyles, with high ceilings and a SoCal style patio area for you to sit and sip on that Detox Smoothie (RMB45).

Their menu is vast and sufficiently varied enough to make this place a choice option for breakfast, brunch, and the rest, offering strictly Western fare with healthy twists. Their Vegan Waffles (RMB40) are a standout, which come adorned with a cornucopia of fruit and a pot of their in-house vegan vanilla cream, made with coconut milk. It’s a substantial, relatively healthy breakfast option and great value for money. Their Sweet Potato Pancakes (RMB40) are a similarly stellar choice.

For lunch or a post-workout refuel try out the Black Rice Salmon Bowl (RMB72), featuring grilled salmon and an ample serving of avocado atop a massive bed of black rice. It comes with teriyaki sauce on the side.

Wheat also does a number of inventive cocktails for those looking to get buzzed on vegetables, such as their Festive Kale Margarita (RMB58) and Cucumber Champagne Sparkler (RMB48). If you order one of their set brunches (RMB178) which includes a main, a side, a dessert and a cocktail, you can opt to pay RMB188 and get two hours of free-flow organic prosecco.

Although not radically different from the original branch, this place is great value for money given the area, and the menu is varied and high-quality enough to make it worth a few repeat visits.
